Co-Pastor Royal Jamison

A Woman of Virtue

God has placed a combination of the angels and doves inside this prophetic woman of God. When Royal Jamison, the only child born to the union of the late Howard and Carrie Johnson, came to us on a cold December 28th, a gift was being placed among us. Although Royal knew the works of God, loved church and Christ, she didn’t know what God was preparing her for. At the age of eight, she began playing classical music on the piano, however that never really interested her. While playing, God spoke and said, “A gift is as a precious stone in the eyes of him that hath it: whithersoever it turneth, it prospereth. Proverbs 17:8

As a teen Royal began playing for a neighbor’s church and later began to use that angelic voice to sing praises unto the Lord. During these times, Royal always heard the voice of God which allowed her to expand her God given gifts of learning various vocal tones of songs, directing choirs, playing and arranging music. With Jamison Temple MBC beginning, Royal continued to use her gift to provide music for the new church. After seven years of being the sole musician, the church received an organist to accompany her in the musical department.

God was not finished with her yet; he wanted to take her to another level of serving Him. Already using her as a mighty mouthpiece in song, God elevated her talents and she was called to preach in April, 1993. She was ordained in August, 1995. While continuing to expand her gifts of music and ministry, God moved again in her life, and in February, 1997 she was chosen to serve alongside her husband as Co-Pastor of Jamison Temple MBC.

For more than 30 years, Co-Pastor Jamison has been a warrior on the battlefield for the Lord. God has equipped her to serve on other ministries during that time. Among other accomplishments, Co-Pastor Jamison was the recipient of the 2008 Tommie Evans Psalmist Award and awarded in 2011 as A Woman Making a Difference in the Community by Triumphant Life Christian Church.

Co-Pastor Jamison, the Psalmist, Intercessor, Teacher, Preacher, Songwriter, Counselor, Spiritual Warfare Anointed one, is not seeking personal glory, because without God she knows she can do nothing. She knows and lives by “No weapon formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17
